Merry Christmas from Kerdruc!

This year's Christmas will be very quiet in Kerdruc.  Recovering from ankle surgery has been a long process and it will be good to just stay home!  We have French/English neighbors from near Geneva who will be here for Christmas and we have a turkey to feed them!  After looking for weeks, we found fresh cranberries from Canada in 2 stores!  Since we can't search the forests for pine cuttings for sprays, we bought a small tree that was locally grown and used the top as a Christmas tree.

France has had very warm weather for December as does the rest of the world.  We have not yet needed a coat…just a sweater at times.  When the sun shines, it is very pleasant…but we have had a bit of rain too.

Did you know that you must have a copy of the prescription when you travel with narcotics in France? Also did you know that the word in French for narcotics is Stupéfiants?  Also, visiting the French orthopedic surgeon was a very interesting day.  He had never heard of my operation and did not know what to do….he ordered a boot after the cast was taken off and told me to come back in a month!  So I have worked with my American surgeon via email and things are progressing.  Just got an X-ray at the hospital and now just need to find a Kiné….physical therapist.
