Wonderful Sweden and May is the new August in Brittany!
What a wonderful trip we had to Sweden! The weather was awesome, the people were great, the hotels were comfortable and the food and sights were fantastic! Luckily we had the timeshare condo between our trips to Stockholm to rest from all the walking and restaurant meals.
When we arrived in Paris from Stockholm, the airport was hot…28 C in Paris for a few days and all over France there had been beautiful hot days. The change in the number of tourists was astounding…the grocery stores, the highway, the beaches were all full of people. Now, after a week back, it has returned to normal temps for May and the crowds have returned to Paris.
Tom will have surgery on Wednesday. After our bout of flu and after coughing for 2 months, he developed an inguinal hernia. It has not been the easiest thing to coordinate….so different from US healthcare. We have had to prepay for the anesthesiologist, surgeon and the hospital. The anesthesiologist office does not take credit cards, so we have to take a check tomorrow. Who knows what our insurance company will pay.
