Hernia surgery successful, summer is HOT, and fun trip to Belle Ile en Mer

Tom's hernia surgery was successful and he is fully healed now!  Had to switch to suspenders and work pants to relieve the pressure on the swollen abdomen….glad that is over!  Also had adventures with 2 dentists and we're still not finished!

Beautiful beach cooling off from the HOT
weather we have had!
This June and July have been unusually hot with no A/C and rare breezes! (A/C stopped working in June and we finally have a  rendezvous with Tico this week after 2 calls and 2 visits!)  Got to love the French system!!!!!

We enjoyed a fun trip to Belle Ile en Mer with a group of 37 other genealogists who have Acadian ancestors.  The group was making a circle tour of the country to see sights from where their ancestors originated.  We joined them for the day with a ferry trip to Belle Ile….just over an hour south of us.  They were so much fun and we had a great time learning more about Shirley's French ancestors. Tour de France coming to within 6 kilometers of our house…..July 11, 2018
Also enjoyed several concerts in the past few months
with our next door neighbors…Ginny, Gabrielle, and Dee
(they made up half the choir…..)
