Wonderful Jambalaya #40 with Calla and hot, hot weather and finally some rain!

We were extremely lucky to have good weather for Jambalaya #40 with rain the day before and after!  Nice and cool temps and almost 60 people attending!  We survived the week before because Calla was here to help us!  Not possible without her!  Then we were invited to a birthday party of our neighbor Olivier on Sunday.  We're off to Paris for 4 days to send off Calla and it is supposed to be 92 degrees!  We'll have lunch with Laetitia's parents and then see what else we can do in the heat!  

Lots of visits to dentists and more to come…..and lots of celebrating with Les Bleus and the Tour de France!  Calla celebrity on D.C. and French television!

What wonderful friends we have….and many more were not in town, but we had a wonderful time!….

Wonderful 30th birthday celebration with Olivier our neighbor on Sunday after Jambalaya!  Unique roast yourself mussels, clams and other items, on the grill in small aluminum boxes…lots of fun!
