This blog is now Luck in Tregunc......Moving is not for older adults!
After so much time looking and hoping to find another house to rent, we suddenly found a house 10 kilometers north of Kerdruc. After losing a new house in Nevez because the owner didn't believe we would stay for 3 years as Americans, Shirley immediataely booked a flight (and then escaped to the US) to help Calla with HER new apartment. She now has a 1 bedroom (after 18 yeas in a studio) and she and Mimo are in heaven! She even has an office now instead of the couch with a computer on her lap for 2 1/2 years! What a life change....and it was great to see her, see friends, see doctors, have tests, and eat the things we miss in France: Chipotle, hamburgers, prime steak, cake, BBQ, Mexican food, and cottage cheese!
The move occurred a week before the trip to the US. Neighbors and friends told us they would help us and they DID!!!!! (they said that is what friends do). What hard work hauling furniture, assembling cabinets, and cleaning the old house! We had a party for 18 of them with BBQ chicken, baked beans, and potato salad! We had a fabulous time! What friends! We are mostly settled, just making small changes, but it is still hard on us at our age!!!!!!! Thank God we did though! It is sooooo quiet here....except for the cows about 200 yards away.....in the country! Come see us!

Your place looks so beautiful and peaceful! Yet still close to your Kerdruc friends. Hooray!
