What a beautiful summer we have had.....and very hot and dry!
We have been busy getting settled in our new house and have enjoyed a long sunny summer. Lots of hot days "canacules" and almost no rain. Now that the tourists have gone and school has begun, life is much quieter and easier! Interesting group of tourists....the British could only come for a limited time so not so many were here, but there were so many Dutch and German visitors. A few Swiss, Italian, and Spanish came trying to escape the heat. We were able to host 18 friends who worked sooooo hard with our move for a nice dinner on the terrace. We invited our new neighbors to a "pot" drink in the evening and 7 of them came! We are so lucky to have great new neighbors!!!!!! The "l'association Sauvegarde du cadre de vie de Kerdruc (SCVK)" had a wonderful pot luck finally after COVID with 85 people attending. Dee took our photo and it ended up in the local newspaper! We are lifetime members of that group after 10 years living in Kerdruc! Just a week ago, we had 30 friends and neighbors both new and old for our housewarming "prondre la crémaillère". A lovely day with wonderful friends and 2 even came from Dinan! This week we will have Calla here for 10 days (and Ethan for 3 days) before they return to Paris for a few days in Paris. We are very excited to see them1!!!!

You moved! Hi, Tom and Shirley. Have a happy holiday.
