Ah Haggis lunch on Sunday! and the sun is shinning at the moment!

John and Lynn invited 12 other hearty souls to their house to try haggis...the Scottish dish that is linked to poet Robert Burns in Scotland.  Everything was so well done...from the menu of haggis (sent FedEx from Scotland), turnips, mashed potatoes, salmon and pickled cucumbers, cheese course with salad and walnuts, dessert of cream and raspberries, lots of wine and champagne and of course coffee and tea to top it off!  What a time we had....the neighbors probably thought there were a hundred of us because we laughed so much for 4 1/2 hours in the middle of the day.  Their newly remodeled kitchen made it all possible and there was plenty of room for all of us...half French and half British (American and Welsh also in that group).  I think we were all very surprised at how good the haggis was.....there are lots of recipes but none sounded very appetizing.  Lynne said that in the UK they would eat haggis about once a week!  We had a most memorable day!  Here are some pictures:
