Home at last !!!!! Yea!
After 3 weeks in Maryland and Washington, D.C., it has never felt more wonderful to be home! A long trip to reach Kerdruc.....from Dulles to Montreal, to Paris, to Quimper was over 14 hours, but the last flight to Quimper was mostly sleeping! I left Calla in her apartment but just for a few hours until friends came to visit her. She has come a very long way in her recovery and we hope she will be fine. She emailed a calendar to her friends to sign up for times that they can be with her. Great friends she has!
Today we stopped at the pharmacist to get the flu vaccine to be taken to the physician and told them it was "GREAT TO BE HOME". They knew what we meant, but we all decided there is not quite an equivalent word for "HOME" in all its depth of meaning in French...just "la maison" which just means house...sad!
Tom and I then went to the beach after grocery shopping. It was awesome and the sun finally came out for the first time since I arrived on Thursday.
