Home in France and Mixed Up French Class
Glad to be home after 10 days with Calla in DC. Great flights, great doctors' appointments, good food, good friends and good weather. Just one bad haircut! Good to see Tom again....he has been working like crazy and he now needs a vacation! Looked up the term "adventure before dementia" in French and it is: aventure avant la démence.
Our French Class with Anne was a bit confusing. We thought we were meeting on Wednesday, but when we walked up to her house, she was in the garden with her guests having coffee. She called to us and invited us to join them. It was her brother, his wife and their two friends all from Paris. Their friends have a summer house in Foret-Fouesnant and Anne's brother and wife have a summer house near the aquarium in Concarneau. We had a wonderful, fun time speaking French and English and enjoyed their company. So now we know some of those Parisians who own the houses that are closed up all winter long!
