Permanent Permis de Conduire (driver's license) and a few other things.....

Exciting day.....got our permanent Permis de Coduire from the Post lady and they are good until 2028!  Not sure why, but mine has only my maiden name.....

In other news, we were invited to join a French/English conversation group and attended our first session yesterday in Concarneau at Yuna's apartment overlooking the Atlantic Ocean!  What a pretty apartment and she loves England and spends possibly half of the year there....she has MANY friends there.  She is a delight and her English is awesome!  We also met another young French couple from Bannalec, a single woman who had worked in Paris, a lady from Maison Blanche (near Concarneau), a British woman from Pont Aven and we also reconnected with an Irish couple who were in our French conversation class in Nevez.   The originator of the group and her husband are British and live near Rosbras....just across the Aven River from our house....it would be nice if they had a boat and didn't have to drive the 30 minutes to get to our house....just a 2 minute boat ride!

We had a fun 3 hours just getting to know each other and talking about what we are interested in.....one person builds staircases and is a joiner, one is a retired teacher who is now an author, another is the owner of a B&B, and a private duty nurse.  The first hour we spoke English and the second we spoke French (or we tried.....)  The French people want to better their English and of course the English want to learn more French!  A fun way to learn...with tea and cake!   We volunteered to have the next session at our house!  So, next Thursday, we'll hope for good weather so everyone can enjoy seeing the Port and Aven River.

Also, Calla is still having a hard time at work and still needs our prayers!  It is a rough time to be a contractor for the Government!

If you are looking for Christmas recipes that are different....and French....go to this website that I have somehow subscribed to.....it is interesting to see what the French are cooking:

The sun is shining today and after a low of 2 degrees, it is now up to 11 degrees so we went to the beach!  Here are some of the pics of the greatest beaches in France!~  Just a few miles from our house.....

And we found an area near Pont Aven that looks very much like the Washington, DC Rock Creek Park which Calla drives through every day on her way to work!~
