French Census

We are now in the French Census!  A young lady stopped by today to take our information for the census.....recensement.  She asked about the number of rooms without water in our house, whether we own or rent the house, how long we have lived in the house, where we were born and whether we are citizens of France, and also what level of education we both have.  She did not have a choice of University, so she wrote it on the bottom of the list!  Interesting and she spoke very good English....even though we wanted to speak French.
