Joyeuses Paques!

Happy Easter from St. Philibert

We tagged along with Sally and Mike to their Catholic Church in St. Philibert this morning....lovely people, lovely hymns and beautiful, sunny day!  The service was packed and the priest spoke French very slowly which was easier to understand for us.  The final hymn was a Breton hymn which was sung to the tune of "Jerusalem" which is a British Hymn...written by William Blake.  Here is a link so you can sing along....what a nice morning!

Here are some of the words in the Breton language.  We wonder if they were paying respect to their British church members......Sally and Mike.....

Kana a rin, kana a rin bédpréd, Rag an Aotrou en eus ma zantellet.

Tridal a ra ma c'halon é Doué, ha ma éné zo leun a joa;

Krouadurien, meulit é vadelez:  Alleluia, alleluia!
