On Thursday, we drove to Rennes to pick up Wayne and Peggy from Denver. We then went to the huge E'Leclerc grocery store and bought some lunch makings. We drove to Tinteniac and found a closed Tool Museum....open in summer only. We had a beautiful, warm day so we found a picnic table to enjoy our lunch on the canal next to a live-aboard canal boat. We then drove to the beautiful city of Combourg and then on to Mount St. Michel. We had a wonderful visit to the Mount and then went to our hotel in Dol de Bretagne. We were given the names of a few restaurants in Dol's old town and found the Round Table Restaurant (La Table Ronde) where we had a fantastic meal of innovative galettes!

The next day, we drove to one of our favorite destinations - St. Malo. We had fun finding the apartment where we stayed last year and walked along the beach. We then walked through the Friday market in St. Sevan-sur-Mer and then to our favorite book - gift store. We were short on time so we just drove by the walled city of St. Malo on our way to lunch with Betty and Luic near Dinan. We were treated to galletes and crepes cooked by Betty (it was also her birthday!). After lunch, we were given a tour of Dinan by Loic. We walked by his daughter's office in old town...she is a travel agent. It was fun to see her again.

We then headed to Roscoff where we spent the night. What an exciting city that is....very beautiful city and right on the tip of a peninsula. Our hotel was right on the ocean and we had a wonderful sunset and sunrise. We had a wonderful seafood dinner (with pasta and risotto) at Marie Stewart's.

We then headed home to the south where we stopped for a gallette and crepe lunch in Huelgoat which is known for its huge boulders. It was a beautiful day and walking among the boulders was refreshing!

Looks like a better day at Mont Saint Michael than the day we had. :) Hope you guys are having fun! Did they love Locronan? I can't wait to see the nothern part of Brittany some day... Any word from France on the visas?

Walking among the boulders was "refreshing"? Was that ladder part of it? It looks like fun, though. Dinan looks really nice!
