Tartiflette Evening

What a delightful evening we had with the residents of the Nevez community.  The Tartiflette dinner was a fundraiser for the sister city program that is sending 20 kids to ski in their sister city town of Monjoie in the Alps near Chamonix.  There was live entertainment...(attached is a movie of poor quality) and lots of singing of old rock and roll French songs, Edith Piaf songs, and a wonderful young accordion player who played traditional Breton music.

The Tartiflette was excellent, albeit a little cold.  The volunteers worked for 2 days preparing it and there were about  200 people, including the Mayor (Mairie) in attendance.  We met many people and had great conversations  in a mixture of French and English.  Thank you John and Lynne for attending with us.  It was quite an experience!
