God Bless President Obama! The news in French shows people still standing in line in Florida to vote....is that true????? Every person we see these days is very happy that Obama is our next President! We are having an American dinner celebration with our two British friends and their two Welsh friends tomorrow night to celebrate the outcome of the election! Pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans and Bananas Foster for dessert.
Big news: After 3 weeks of looking on line for a car and visiting car showrooms, we have finally BOUGHT a new FRENCH CAR! Actually, it is a 2007, but it is the same car we have been driving (actually Tom has been driving) for the past 5 weeks that we have been here...which is a manual transmission and I don't need to learn that as well as everything else...Tom has loved driving it....so we bought an automatic transmission and it is very cute! Also, Calla took our Subaru Forester back to the dealer in Annapolis and sold it the same day! The gods are looking out for us and prayer does work!!! And Calla is an angel! AMEN!
A visit to several stores today looking for celery seed, molasses or brown sugar, has not yielded anything, so we'll have to wing it.....we'll let you know....so these photos are from the supermarket in La Foret, which is about 20 minutes from our house...we'd never see this in the US~!
