In the DARK....literally!

Another exciting afternoon at the Pearce (silly American's) house!  At 3:30, all the power went off in our house....we went down to the port to empty garbage, etc. and saw the Gendarme who often drive down to check it out....and we told them we had no power....they looked up the telephone number for the electrical company and then left. We called John and Lynne to see if they had any suggestions.... We started to panic when we found out that our neighbors had power and we didn't....so a neighbor looked at our circuit breakers and said it was the main power supply...we don't have the key to the garage where that is....so we called Mr. Thomas who lives 30 minutes away and he said he would come over.  He arrived at 6 p.m. and got into the garage and all power is now restored!  During all the waiting, the neighbors up the street said they would call an electrician for us and we packed so we could spend the night at a hotel.......Tom missed a training session and could not work on his rush job for a client!  Now he will be able to work tonight at 7:30 when he has another person to train.

So, Lynne called back to say she couldn't stand to think of us sitting in a dark house and wanted to invite us to her house....even though she has the flu....so all is well now and tomorrow we leave for 2 days to pick up our wonderful daughter...she is excited toooooo......we have lots of thank you notes to write now!  Thank goodness for "Google Translate" so we can really express ourselves in print at least!!!!!   We have to spend more time learning FRENCH!!!!!
