Beautiful, sunny weekend and tour at the Rhododendron Festival!

We ventured out again to Melgven near us to attend the Rhodorêverie, (Rhody Festival) at the Garden and Manoir of Kergoat.  The owner of the land and Manoir has kept up the garden which was started by his grandfather.  Over 300 varieties of rhodies in all colors and shapes.  The very detailed tour (in French) lasted an hour and we walked all over the property.  Also saw a newly discovered outpost which was used in Gallo-Roman times to act as a living post office.....following the tour was a concert of harp music.  We had met Sally and Mike there and we were invited to dinner at their house later in the day.  What a fabulous meal!  Pork roast with broccoli, potatoes, and cracklin.  And for dessert, pudding poured over a crumble of plums ......What a wonderful, relaxing day!
