NEW CARPET!

We are so happy to have new, clean carpet in the upstairs of our house....Our landlord hired a carpet fitter from England (lives near Wells, UK) who arrived by overnight ferry Tuesday morning and was finished with the entire upstairs by afternoon!   The fitter did a splendid installation job with the carpet.  The new carpet is NOT wool and should be safe from moths!  It is a darker beige than the off-white one before and it looks much stronger and should last another 20 years!  The new carpet is somewhat more plush and feels better on the feet with the bonus of more insulation between us and the concrete floor.  We all have sore backs from carrying things up and down the stairs for the past 3 or so days!  Here are some photos......exciting times!
