35th Jambalaya in Kerdruc!

Unbelievable evening last night with 27 friends and neighbors at our first Jambalaya in France!  Of course, we were so busy that we forgot to take photos until half the people were gone!  Every one of our neighbors came except Eric the trumpeter who was performing in Aix in Provence and his next door neighbor Renaud who was out of town.  Even the Legenbuhls who were invited a few hours before came with their next door neighbor Anne France.  Will try to get photos later of the Merrecks, Jim and Michelle, the Belgian judge and wife and Guias's.  Everyone loved the jambalaya and had never eaten anything like it.  They were also surprised that all the neighbors from Kerdruc were there.   There were so many gifts that I can't remember who brought what....everything happened so fast and we were so busy trying to get the dinner together.....we were sorry that the Sherry's were in the UK and that John and Lewis were so knackered (? an English term) after doing electrical work in the attic of their house to get ready for the electrician on Monday, but glad that Lynne came!

Thanks to Jane and her family from Maryland for helping us get it all together....Zoe was precious and helped her Mom hand out the chocolates that I had put in an envelope with the following note....which everyone really thought was very touching!  We'll be sorry to see Jane and her family go home because they have been such fun.  What an experience...and the hottest day of the year...about 76 degrees and full sun!

Thank you very much for being here today and thank you for making our stay in France so wonderful and rewarding!  We cherish your friendship and hope that we will be able to stay in France for many years to come.
