Wonderful visit by Betty Jane and Loic
A wonderful overnight visit by Betty Jane and Loic from Dinan....our first French house guests! They had never been to Pont Aven nor Concarneau, but had been to Quimper. They loved the thatched cottages, white sand beaches, pristine water, chateaus, and the window shopping in Concarneau on Market Day. They enjoyed the Ville Close along with the hundreds of tourists in town for the big weekend.
The first evening we went to Trevingnon to buy fish from the Loup des Mers, our favorite fishermen who dock their boat at our port. Betty helped Tom cook the fish and crab. Delicious and caught in the morning! Betty also brought Breton Far that she cooked earlier.....http://allrecipes.com/recipe/far-breton/
It was fun speaking French and English and learning lots on both sides! What a delight the two of them are!
We didn't make it on Wednesday to the celebration in Pont L'Abbe but plan to go on Sunday, Bastille Day (there are events all week) and also see the fireworks at Trevingnon at midnight!
